We are looking for a Business Development Manager to sell into a Calgary territory. This is a full time, permanent position with salary, vehicle allowance, uncapped commission and benefits. Service sales experience is strongly preferred. The position will report to a Calgary office a few times per week. This is a hunter role and is ideal for someone who wants to be compensated for overachieving on realistic targets. The position is for a large, multinational with excellent back-office support.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new verticals
  • Actively hunt for business
  • Manage RFP and bidding process
  • Make presentations to potential client decision makers, individually or as a team
  • Maintain client and prospect database
  • Develop commercial business to meet sales targets
  • Develop relationships to introduce new products
  • Manage customer pipeline from cold call to close​

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a hunting role
  • Experience selling a service preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to increase revenues in a designated territory
  • Ability to handle tough negotiations
  • Demonstrate effective client relationship management
  • Exceptional verbal communication, written, and presentation skills
  • Teamwork & Innovation: ability to work effectively with employee groups and building partnerships at all levels of the organization
  • Consultative Professional demeanor and selling style
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Experience prospecting and hunting for new business as well as pipeline development in the local market an asset.

Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
